We are the number one for research antibodies used in IHC. Find out why or Triple A Polyclonals™ are the antibodies of choice for your IHC experiments.
What does it take to be number one in IHC? It starts with a catalog of over 17,000 research antibodies validated in IHC. For each antibody, we provide you with 500 annotated images in normal and cancerous tissues. We are the original manufacturer of our Triple A Polyclonals antibodies. Our deep knowledge within IHC is supported by our stringent quality control and guaranteed lot-to-lot reproducibility. Added to this is our team of qualified scientists always ready to support you.
Triple A Polyclonals: the choice for your IHC assays
Triple A Polyclonals typically contain between 3-5 epitopes. This makes them optimal for IHC due to the higher assay sensitivity resulting from the possibility of targeting several epitopes on the same protein. Another advantage is the versatility this brings. Several epitopes give the antibody a higher chance of working in other species and applications. If one epitope should be destroyed in sample preparation, be blocked, or missing in another species, the Triple A Polyclonal will still bind to one of the other epitopes.
Free access to an unparalleled amount of IHC data and images
We manufacture the Triple A Polyclonals used in the Human Protein Atlas project at Atlas Antibodies. For each Triple A Polyclonals, you have free access to over 500 IHC staining images from all major human organs and cancer types on the Human Protein Atlas. Skilled pathologists manually annotates every image. Because transparency is crucial to us, we freely share all the IHC data and provide the staining images and the antigen sequence used for our antibodies.
Validated antibodies targeting unknown proteins
The human Protein Atlas project has mapped the human proteome with our Triple A Polyclonals antibodies validated for IHC. This is why we can offer antibodies against uncommon or unknown proteins for which published data is missing. For these uncommon or unknown proteins, we provide IHC images and the expression data in all major tissues in the human body and the 20 most common cancer types.
Enhanced Validation
The need for extensively validated antibodies expressed by the scientific community is perfectly in line with the mindset of Atlas Antibodies, where antibody validation and reproducibility always has been of the highest priority. Since IHC is a non-quantitative method, our experienced scientists perform thorough manual analysis in a vast number of human tissues to ensure antibody specificity. As an extra layer of antibody validation, we add enhanced validation data in an application-specific manner, using the approach recommended in Nature Methods by Uhlén et al.
Lot-to-lot reproducibility in IHC
At Atlas Antibodies, we know our antibodies. To ensure functionality and assay reproducibility in a real lab situation, every new production lot is tested in IHC in parallel to the existing lots on a large number of tissues.
The immune response may vary between animals, and therefore a polyclonal antibody purified from a new animal serum needs a stringent quality control procedure to secure retained specificity and functionality. At Atlas Antibodies, this is ensured by analyzing the new lot in parallel with its reference lot on consecutive tissue sections.
