This antibody has been used for staining of 44 normal human tissue samples as well as human cancer samples covering the 20 most common cancer types and up to 12 patients for each cancer type. The results are part of an ongoing effort to map the human proteome using antibodies.

The Human Protein Atlas has successfully tested the Anti-CTBP1 antibody (HPA018987) in siRNA transfected U-2 OS cells and HeLa cell lines stably expressing GFP-tagged target protein.
A. To validate the subcellular localization of the Anti-CTBP1 antibody (HPA018987), determined by immunofluorescence, the staining procedure was repeated on siRNA transfected U-2 OS cells. The assay was performed in duplicates using siRNA:s from two different providers (siRNA 1 and siRNA 2) and the results were compared to negative control cells transfected with scrambled siRNA.
The images show signal downregulation > 25% compared to the negative control (scrambled). Relative Fluorescence Intensity (RFI) denotes the percentage of remaining staining intensity after siRNA down regulation.
B. The Anti-CTBP1 antibody (HPA018987) was tested in Western blot using siRNA transfected U-2 OS cells, from two different providers (siRNA 1 and siRNA 2), and the result shows specific downregulation in both siRNA lanes compared to the control (scrambled).

C. The Anti-CTBP1 antibody (HPA018987) was analyzed in HeLa cell lines stably expressing GFP-tagged target protein and the result shows that the antibody staining overlaps with GFP tagged protein.
