Immunohistochemical staining of human tonsil shows moderate to strong cytoplasmic positivity in a subset of lymphoid cells.

Product Features

The Anti‑CCR4 antibody (HPA031613) is a highly specific reagent designed to detect CCR4 (C‑C chemokine receptor type 4), a key G protein–coupled receptor predominantly expressed on immune cell subsets such as Th2 cells and regulatory T cells (Tregs). CCR4 is crucial for chemokine‑guided cell trafficking and immune regulation, making this antibody a powerful tool for immunology, inflammation, and cancer research.

Significance in Research: CCR4 is essential for directing immune cell migration through chemokines such as CCL17 and CCL22, playing a central role in immune regulation and inflammatory responses. Abnormal CCR4 expression is closely linked to diseases including cutaneous T‑cell lymphoma (CTCL), adult T‑cell leukemia/lymphoma (ATLL), and chronic inflammatory conditions. In cancer, CCR4 drives an immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment by recruiting Tregs, and its high expression is associated with poor prognosis in several tumor types.
