Atlas Antibodies announces the rollout of two new eco-friendly shipping solutions designed to significantly reduce plastic waste and strengthen the company’s long-term sustainability strategy:
1. Paper-Based Cold Gel Refrigerants
- Impact: Eliminats 377 kg of plastic per year
The first major transition introduces paper-based cold gel refrigerants, replacing the plastic-based cooling packs previously used in temperature-controlled shipments. The new refrigerants provide the same thermal performance while being fully recyclable, removing 377 kilograms of plastic waste each year.
This marks the company’s single largest plastic-reduction effort to date.
2. Branded Paper Tape Replacement
- Impact: Eliminates: 8.4 kg of plastic per year
Atlas Antibodies is also replacing its existing plastic shipping tape with custom-branded paper tape, eliminating an additional 8.4 kilograms of plastic annually. Beyond its environmental benefits, the move generates cost savings and allows the company’s brand identity to appear directly on packaging in a sustainable way.
